The Athlete’s Village for the 2025 Chengdu World Games officially opened on Saturday, welcoming participants to the host city with a dedicated hub of services and facilities.

Nicknamed the “Chengdu Home,” the village will accommodate approximately 7,000 athletes, officials, and staff from around the world between August 3 and 18.

The opening ceremony, held at the Tianfu International Hotel, drew over 200 attendees, including representatives from the International World Games Association (IWGA), athletes, volunteers, and support staff.

“The quality of the accommodation is just amazing,” said Guillaume Felli, Deputy CEO of the IWGA. “I’m confident the athletes will enjoy excellent facilities that will help them perform at their best during the Games.”
