Israel’s military campaign in Gaza has now entered its 700th day, with at least 19 Palestinians reported killed today, including seven children, according to medical sources. The casualties occurred as a result of Israeli strikes targeting residential buildings and make shift tents housing displaced families across Gaza City since early morning.
The latest wave of violence underscores the continuation of a conflict that has devastated Gaza since October 7, 2023, following attacks by Hamas. Humanitarian agencies report that the relentless bombardment has not only caused loss of life but also severely damaged homes, critical infrastructure, and essential services, leaving thousands in urgent need of shelter, food, and medical care.
This prolonged offensive has drawn widespread international attention, with concerns mounting over the high civilian toll and the growing humanitarian crisis. While Israel maintains its operations are part of ongoing security measures, residents of Gaza continue to endure severe shortages and the constant threat of airstrikes, highlighting the enduring vulnerability of the civilian population.
