Tehran: Iran’s armed forces conducted a series of coordinated strikes across West Asia on Tuesday, targeting key US and Israeli military assets in a continuation of retaliatory operations. The operations involved multiple branches of the Iranian military, including the Aerospace and Ground Forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the IRGC Navy, and units of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army (Artesh).
In Kuwait, Iranian forces launched 10 drones toward the US Marine Corps base at Camp Arifjan in a combined drone-missile operation. According to Iranian reports, over 160 US Marines were present, with preliminary estimates indicating more than 100 casualties, though no official confirmation has been released by the United States.
In Bahrain, Iranian forces struck Sheikh Isa Air Base, targeting ten strategic sites, including the air command-and-control center, aircraft fuel depots, and residences used by senior US commanders. The operation reportedly disrupted key US military operations in the region.
Iran also reported the disabling of a second THAAD anti-missile radar (AN/TPY2) in West Asia. This follows the destruction of a THAAD radar at Al-Ruwais, UAE, the previous day. Meanwhile, over Iran, IRGC air defenses intercepted an Israeli Hermes drone over Khorramabad, and captured another Hermes-900 drone equipped with electronic warfare systems. Artesh air-defense units additionally downed seven Israeli drones, bringing the total number of US and Israeli drones shot down during the current confrontation to at least 35.
In Iraq, IRGC Ground Force units launched 30 drones against separatist armed groups in Iraqi Kurdistan, citing ongoing infiltration plans against Iran. Simultaneously, the IRGC Navy targeted a US Navy destroyer and a refueling vessel in the Indian Ocean, nearly 650 km off the Iranian coast, using Qadr-360 and Talaeiyeh cruise missiles. The strikes reportedly caused fires on both ships, disrupting US naval operations in the region.
The IRGC Aerospace Force carried out precision missile and drone strikes in the central and northern occupied Palestinian territories, marking the 17th wave of Operation True Promise 4. Targets included the headquarters of the Israeli General Staff, the Ministry of Security complex, HaKirya, and infrastructure in Bnei Brak, Petah Tikva, and Western al-Jalil. According to IRGC field assessments, over 680 Israeli troops have been killed or wounded since the start of the confrontation.
The IRGC statement emphasized that technical gaps and reduced efficiency in Israel’s multi-layered air defense systems allowed Iranian missiles and drones to penetrate deep into the occupied territories with precision. Iranian authorities pledged to continue calculated operations against Israeli military infrastructure, vowing to eliminate what they described as a “cancerous tumor” from the region.
