Israeli Strikes Kill 11 Palestinians Across Gaza Since Dawn

Israeli air and drone strikes across the Gaza Strip on Monday killed at least 11 Palestinians, according to local medical officials, as the conflict continued to escalate with no sign of a ceasefire. The strikes, which began at dawn, targeted both urban neighborhoods and areas sheltering displaced civilians, underscoring the mounting humanitarian toll of Israel’s military campaign.

Medical sources told Al Jazeera Arabic that seven of the fatalities were registered in Gaza City, where residential districts have repeatedly been hit in recent days. In central Gaza, Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir el-Balah reported receiving two bodies and multiple wounded following an Israeli air strike on a tent sheltering displaced families in the al-Sawarha area, southwest of Nuseirat. The hospital described the influx of casualties as part of a relentless wave of attacks overwhelming local medical staff and facilities.

Separately, emergency responders confirmed that two additional Palestinians were killed in an Israeli drone strike on the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, southwest of Gaza City. Witnesses said the strike caused panic in the densely populated area, which has already seen waves of displacement amid weeks of bombardment. Ambulance workers warned that continued drone activity in urban zones is making rescue operations increasingly difficult.

The latest attacks come as Israel intensifies its offensive across Gaza, despite growing international pressure over the rising civilian death toll and worsening humanitarian conditions. Displacement camps and densely packed neighborhoods have borne the brunt of the strikes, prompting fresh calls from aid groups and UN agencies for an immediate halt to hostilities.

The renewed bloodshed highlights the fragility of regional stability, with analysts warning that the scale of civilian casualties could deepen diplomatic rifts between Israel and its Western allies. The killings also threaten to further inflame tensions at the United Nations General Assembly, where the Gaza conflict and Palestinian statehood are dominating debate.
