GAZA — The humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues to deepen, with the territory’s Health Ministry reporting 11 new deaths from malnutrition in the past 24 hours, including two children.
The latest fatalities bring the total number of hunger and malnutrition-related deaths in Gaza to over 300, among them 117 children, according to figures cited by Al Jazeera. Large parts of Gaza are now facing confirmed famine conditions, as months of blockade, restricted aid, and widespread destruction have left families with little access to food, clean water, and medical supplies.
International aid agencies and the United Nations have repeatedly warned that the situation in Gaza is reaching catastrophic levels, with children particularly vulnerable to starvation and disease. Calls are intensifying for an immediate and sustained humanitarian corridor to prevent further loss of life.
