Seoul – A woman in her 40s has been arrested for trespassing at the home of BTS member Jungkook, police in Seoul confirmed on Sunday.

According to Yongsan Police Station, the woman gained access to the underground parking lot of Jungkook’s residence at around 11:20 p.m. on Saturday by following another vehicle inside. A security guard monitoring surveillance cameras noticed the intrusion and immediately alerted authorities.

When police confronted the woman, she allegedly gave incoherent statements and claimed she was “visiting a friend’s house.” Investigators are now working to determine her true motives.

This is the second such incident at Jungkook’s residence in recent months. In June, a Chinese woman in her 30s attempted to break into the singer’s building on the very day he completed his military service. She was caught trying to enter the door code and later told police she had traveled to South Korea “to see Jungkook after his military discharge.” That case has since been handed over to prosecutors.

The repeated incidents highlight the ongoing problem of obsessive “sasaeng” fans, known for invading the private lives of K-pop idols. Authorities have stressed that such intrusions are a serious offense. Under South Korea’s 2021 anti-stalking law, offenders can face up to three years in prison or fines of up to 30 million won ($21,000), with harsher penalties if weapons or dangerous items are involved.
