Saudi Arabia has issued a strong warning that the international community’s continued failure to stop Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip risks severely destabilizing both regional and global security.

Speaking at the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan said the inaction of world powers in the face of what he described as Israeli aggression could have far-reaching consequences beyond the Middle East.

“The international community’s inaction in restraining the aggression on Gaza will contribute to destabilising security and stability regionally and globally,” Prince Faisal told delegates in New York.

The Saudi foreign minister called for decisive international efforts to halt the violence and ensure the protection of Palestinian civilians. He emphasized the need for the immediate delivery of humanitarian aid and the opening of safe corridors for relief operations in Gaza.

“We must all act seriously to stop the aggression and guarantee the delivery of aid to Gaza’s residents,” he said.

Prince Faisal also urged the United Nations to play a more assertive role in resolving the conflict, saying that the global body must improve its ability to respond to crises.

“The UN needs to become more efficient in reducing conflicts and crises,” he added.

Saudi Arabia has repeatedly called for a two-state solution and recognition of Palestinian statehood, and its latest remarks reflect growing frustration in the Arab and Muslim world over the continued violence in Gaza and perceived lack of accountability for Israel’s actions.

The Kingdom’s statements come amid mounting international criticism of Israel’s military campaign, with humanitarian groups warning of catastrophic conditions in Gaza and growing calls for an immediate ceasefire.
