Drones Target US Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Defense Ministry Confirms

Riyadh: The US embassy in Riyadh was targeted by drones on , causing a small fire and minor damage to the building, the Saudi Ministry of Defense confirmed. Authorities said the strike did not result in any casualties.

The embassy was empty at the time of the attack, and officials reported no injuries among staff or civilians in the vicinity. Emergency response teams were dispatched immediately to assess and contain the damage.

In response to the incident, the US embassy issued a “shelter in place” notice for residents and American personnel in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam, advising them to stay indoors until the situation is deemed safe.
