Tehran: Following the recent negotiations between Iran and the United States, Iran has presented its official stance, making it clear that Tehran had already demonstrated its intent and seriousness prior to the talks.
However, due to past experiences, full trust in the United States remains unattainable.According to Iranian officials, the experiences of the past two conflicts have made Iran cautious, which is why a noticeable lack of trust persisted during the negotiations this time as well.
A key member of the Iranian delegation stated that their team presented positive and constructive proposals during the talks, aimed at ensuring progress. Despite these efforts, the US delegation failed to gain the trust of Iranian representatives. He further noted that although the United States has, to some extent, understood Iran’s principled stance and reasoning, the real decision now lies with Washington—whether it is willing to take practical steps to rebuild trust.
In its statement, Iran emphasized that diplomacy is a key pillar of its national strategy. However, this approach goes hand in hand with strength and resistance. The Iranian leadership reiterated that it attaches equal importance to both diplomatic and military avenues in securing the rights of its people.
It also stressed that the achievements made during the recent “forty-day defense” would not be undermined under any circumstances. The statement also specifically praised Pakistan’s role in facilitating the negotiations. Iranian officials described Pakistan as a friendly and brotherly country, commending its efforts and expressing goodwill for the Pakistani people.
The Iranian leadership paid tribute to its nation, stating that Iran is a united country of 90 million people who demonstrated solidarity during difficult times.Public support was also acknowledged, with citizens taking to the streets in backing of the leadership and armed forces.
Officials stated that the prayers and support of the people are their true strength. Additionally, the 21-hour-long efforts of the Iranian delegation during the negotiations were appreciated and recognized.
