Shocking Al Jazeera Report Suggests India Uses Israeli Model Against Muslims

DOHA – Al Jazeera has published a report claiming that India’s current government is implementing policies influenced by Israel’s security and administrative model, with significant implications for Muslims and the region of Jammu and Kashmir.

The report highlights a shared ideological vision between India and Israel, in which minority communities are often perceived as security or geographic threats. According to Al Jazeera, circles associated with the Hindutva ideology in India have drawn inspiration from Israeli governance, prioritizing surveillance, strict security measures, and hardline administrative approaches.

Intensified Security Measures in Kashmir

The report notes that since 2019, security arrangements in Jammu and Kashmir have been significantly tightened. These measures include the establishment of numerous checkpoints, raids, and communication blackouts, contributing to heightened restrictions on daily life.

Al Jazeera also references the so-called “Bulldozer Justice” policy, under which homes and businesses of alleged offenders have been demolished, a practice critics describe as extrajudicial. The report raises concerns over the use of advanced technology to monitor dissenting voices, pointing to potential violations of civil liberties.

Concerns from Human Rights Organizations

According to the report, human rights organizations have expressed deep concern over the situation in Kashmir, highlighting restrictions on movement, communication, and freedom of expression. Observers argue that these measures disproportionately affect Muslims and dissenting communities, drawing parallels to tactics used in Israel’s security governance.

Al Jazeera notes that the Indian government did not provide an official response to the allegations, leaving the report’s claims unchallenged in the publication.
